According to the Doctor Bach method, Gentian is indicated for uncertainty and discouragement. Those who suffer from it become discouraged and depressed easily when things do not go well or when they encounter difficulties.

• Simple prepared remedy: Dilute 2 drops in a glass of water and sip at intervals; or add 2 drops to a 30 ml dropper bottle of water and take 4 drops at least 4 times a day.
• Compound prepared remedy: Add 2 drops of each flower (up to 7 flowers) to a 30 ml bottle and take 4 drops at least 4 times a day.

Aqueous dilution 1:240 of Gentian (Gentiana amarella).

Grape alcohol (27% v/v).
